If we are designing your website for you then we will upload it to your web space on completion. Files are generally uploaded via an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program such as 'WS_FTP' available from www.ipswitch.com. Files are uploaded to the default directory: "httpdocs" You can also create subdirectories within this directory to keep your files organised. Frontpage users can upload their files via Frontpage if they have a 'Business Host Plus' or 'Pro' web hosting account.
Business Host Plus and Business Host Pro accounts include access to full website 'hit' statistics. These are accessed online for your convenience and details are sent out to new account holders with their initial 'Welcome' email.
Once you've decided what POP3 email addresses you'd like to use, for example mail@yourdomain.co.uk john@yourdomain.co.uk info@yourdomain.co.uk etc. simply email us to let us know. We will then set up your accounts and email you clear instructions so that you can send and receive email via Outlook Express using your new domain name (and via WebMail if you've opted for a 'Plus' or 'Pro' hosting account).
WebMail allows you to login to you@yourdomain.co.uk from anywhere in the
world. You can send and receive emails, images and attachments and store contact details
in your address book. WebMail comes as standard with the 'Plus' and 'Pro' web
hosting accounts. Features and benefits include:
Yes. Email us the name of the domain that you'd like to 'transfer in' and we will email you instructions. There is no charge for transferring in.
Any email sent to you@yourdomain.co.uk or anyword@ your new domain name can automatically be 'caught' and forwarded to the email address we have on file for you (which you may change at anytime). So, no longer will you have to use the free, and often awkward, email address provided by your Internet Service Provider (for example: johnsmith267@internetservices.co.uk) instead you'll be able to use your new domain's email address.
